Q&A at Batcombe

Thank you to the Parish Council at Batcombe, where I joined their district and county councillors to answer questions on a huge variety of topics. Very interesting evening, followed by a decent pint in the Horseshoes.

Political discussion group - Bruton

Lovely, as ever, to meet this regular political discussion group in Bruton and answer questions on a myriad of topics while eating cake. Thanks for having me, and I hope to be in a position to meet you all again soon..!

Easter Day in Nunney

We were too late to buy a duck for the big Easter Day duck race in Nunney, near Frome... But not too late to watch the race and the Easter bonnet parade from the riverbank. No one fell in.

Justice for those in Park Homes

Enormous turnout in Westminster for this event trying to seek justice for those in Park Homes, who have complained of unfair practices by the park owners. There are many in my constituency and I spoke at the event and - with other MPs - am trying to help.

Comic Relief

A very big thank you to Maltesers for coming to Parliament the other day and getting the nation to #bakeamillion for Comic Relief. All their bakers helped raise a very tasty £1,026,712 this Red Nose Day. I joined it too - that's my rather sad looking cup cake! Or can I call it a fairy cake?

50th Anniversary Dinner of the Frome Lions Club

I could call it an artistic photo, or I could admit it's a bit rubbish, but it gives a good picture (as it were) of the exceptional turnout at the 50th Anniversary Dinner of the Frome Lions Club, which Harriet and I hugely enjoyed.

Local Elections

Fabulous weather for knocking on the ever-friendly doors of Wells with Jacob R-M and others, for John Osman, leader of Somerset County Council

Badminton Marathon

Great to take part in another badminton marathon with the kids, to raise money for the new roof for the outdoor pool at Huish Leisure Centre! I may be getting too old for this game. Literally.
