In Pen Selwood, near Wincanton, to talk about... yep, broadband. That ongoing issue for so many rural villages. We were joined again by CDS (Connecting Devon and Somerset) and BT, and we explored the options. I think we have a way forward, but we're going to need to meet again soon.

Chairing APPG for Music Education's AGM

Extremely interesting to chair the All Party Parliamentary Group for Music Education's AGM in Parliament. Much talk was on the Government's plans for the EBacc without any Arts provision - something with which I do not agree.

Fund-raising for new community hall in Kingsbury Episcopi

Lovely to take part in the fund-raising evening at Langport's River Parrett Cafe which raised literally thousands for the new community hall in Kingsbury Episcopi. And thank you to the brilliant chef Rob Boer who gave us such a great night.

Visiting the Racehorse Sanctuary

Fantastic to visit the Racehorse Sanctuary in Brewham, near Bruton and to meet so many fabulous horses, including BK (The Betchworth Kid), here. Like all the others, he can relax in perfect surroundings now, either until he finds a new home or until he grows old gracefully.
